Mawu: Appeagyei

About this work

Appeagyei is the heart of The Lost Comb of Mawu universe, a heroine designed to carry both ancestral weight and future possibility. This 3D character study explores her final look development: skin shading referenced from Ghanaian portraiture, costume design woven from kente geometry and Afrofuturist silhouette, and hair sculpted as a living crown. Every design decision is an act of cultural research as much as digital craft. Created in Ghana by BrakoVerse Media, Appeagyei represents the studio's standard for African character design: emotionally grounded, technically world-class, and unmistakably rooted in heritage.
