About this work
Nana Barima is a 3D character design celebrating Akan royalty: a chief rendered with the dignity, texture and presence of a cinematic close-up. The piece showcases BrakoVerse Media's character pipeline end to end, from anatomical sculpting and cloth simulation on hand-patterned kente to gold ornament shading and portrait lighting that honours dark skin on screen. Designed and produced in Ghana, Nana Barima became one of the studio's signature works, proof that African character design can hold the same frame as any Hollywood production. The character continues to inform the visual language of the studio's original IP development.
